I own various books on Martin Chambi, and a few of his original postcards printed from his Cuzco studio. This book provides an excellent amount of Chambi's photographs, more than most other books I have on him. If you enjoy his work, Cuzco or Peru this book should be at the top of your list.
Beautiful coffee table book. The prints are amazing and truly come very close to doing justice to Chambi's work next to seeing them actual prints in person.

Amazing photographs.
Books in English about Martin Chambi are limited. If you were as lucky as my husband and I to visit his personal studio and have a conversation with his Grandson who now operates his collection in Cuzco, you would find a photographer who was an artist with composition and a master in the technique of photography. A good collection is represented in this book. The focus of this collection was to portray the people of Cuzco in the Years of 1920-50. I wish now to find a book that would contain more of Chambi's landscapes of Machu Picchu, the Andres, cities, etc.
